1st Period ---AP Lit     Great Literature is something that causes the reader to connect, to feel.  Most books are deemed classics because they went against the normal standards of their time period; they stood out.  They made an impression upon society, therefore, now they are of a higher standard in comparison to other books.

I believe that Great Literature or classics should be based upon the connection. ex: the author makes me hate a certain character and love others  With great books, I cry, I get angry, I laugh, I get excited with the characters.  I feel as though I am a part of the story.  I use my reading to escape.

Some books that have made an impression upon me are Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, Being by Kevin Brooks, Ellen Hopkin's series, Tamora Pierce's series, and many others.  Over the last few years, I have read so many amazing books. There's too many to share. I am a major book worm if you have not noticed.  I really do not have one favorite, but many.
